Newborn Home Visiting
Newborn Home VisitingA single in-home visit by a registered nurse

If you are a first-time parent, or if you are a parent under the age of 25, you can receive a newborn home visit from a registered nurse. During your home visit, you will learn about the health and growth of your baby and get answers to questions you may have. If your baby has any medical problems, your nurse will discuss them with you, talk to you about your choices and about how you can keep your child healthy. You will learn about community resources that can help you and your child as he or she continues to grow.
At the hospital, after giving birth, you will be told about how you can receive a newborn home visit. We hope you will say “YES.” This will be a big help for you and your child for the future.
